Allergy Relief Air Purifier
No matter how much you clean your home, contaminants in the air remain, oftentimes leading to seasonal allergy symptoms. To help reduce and eliminate contaminants and allergens in your home, consider an air purifier.
The size of the air purifier should be large enough to accommodate the square feet in the room and/or house.

Bee Pollen
Pollen is also a remedy for hay fever and allergies. However it must be taken at least six weeks before the season begins and then continued throughout the season if it going to work.
Bee pollen has been effectively used down through the ages to rid allergy sufferers of their afflictions. This technique, called desensitization, was developed at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London soon after the turn of the century. The treatment consists of administering small amounts of the allergen to stimulate the patient’s own immune system to produce antibodies that will eliminate the allergic reaction. It works rather like a vaccination does against childhood diseases. Desensitization is based on the premise that the administration of the allergen will cause the body to produce antibodies that will cancel out the effects of the offending substance when the patient is again exposed to it.
Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera gel can help bring you relief from your allergy and hay fever symptoms. Aloe vera supports healthy respiratory and immune systems by promoting clear airway passages, stabilizing mast cells and neutralizing free radicals.
In allergy sufferers, collagen is weakened in the nasal passages, lung tissues and intestinal tract. This allows foreign invaders to enter your blood system causing allergy symptoms. To fend off allergies symptoms, one needs to strengthen connective tissue called collagen. Aloe vera gel contains all the natural ingredients you need to battle allergies and the associated symptoms.
Ginkgo Biloba
Its leaves are used medicinally as an ancient Chinese remedy for coughs, asthma and treatment of inflammation due to allergies.
Allergy and Sinus Relief
For some people, the short-term use of a nasal steroid inhaler can also be very effective with few adverse or risky side effects. Other options include over-the-counter nasal sprays. These sprays are usually very effective, and they have minimal side effects.
Antihistamines for Seasonal Allergy Relief
Antihistamines block the effects of histamine, which causes sneezing, itching, and wheezing. Antihistamines and nasal decongestants are most often used for short term allergy relief.
Newer antihistamines such as Allegra, Claritin, Clarinex and Zyrtec are less likely to cause sedation and, therefore, have become quite popular. Allegra, until recently, was available only as a pill, which limited its use for younger children. Allegra is now available as an oral suspension and so there is now another option for treating young kids with allergies, even if they can’t swallow pills.
Allegra-D 12 Hour is the #1 prescribed anthistamine plus decongestant. Due to the decongestant (pseudoephedrine) component in both Allegra-D 12 Hour and Allegra-D 24 Hour, these products must not be used if you:
- are taking an MAO inhibitor (a medication for depression) or have stopped taking an MAO inhibitor within 14 days;
- retain urine;
- have narrow-angle glaucoma;
- or have severe high blood pressure or severe heart disease
Most of these seasonal relief medicines are taken orally and work to treat all or most of seasonal allergy symtoms.
